IRAN IS IN THE NEWS - Learn
about Robert de Warren's experience during eleven years working in this country, studying its ancient culture; mystic, ethnic
and urban dances and ceremonies, researching its impact on the West through: medicine, art, architecture, literature
and phylosophy, from centuries back.
In the 1970s Robert founded The National Folkore Organization at the request
of the Empress Farah Pahlavi, their patron. This institute offered a three year course in specialization covering all the
researched material Mr. de Warren obtained during more than ten years. Unfortunately during the Islamic Revolution in 1979,
everything was lost, save some material that was a duplication of the Library containing the origonal collection of materials
of films, designs and annotations are in Mr. de Warren's personal collection. Others have been smuggled out of the country
by his past dancers and artists, escaping the devastating results of the political catastrophe that folllowed. Over the ensuing
years many of these artists continue to contact Mr. de Warren, and as a result he is often invited to lecture, produce and
choreograph on this Persian treasure.
